THE SHE-STUFF >> BiOGRAPHY

My name is Rachel-Rebecka. My friends tend to call me Rachi. I’m twenty years old, having been born on the 27th of February 1988. That would make me a proud Pisces-Dragon. Right now I’m living in the City of Williams Lake, and I’m a member of the WLSS Class of 2006. I graduated with honors and four scholarships, three for fine arts and one from the teachers’ association. I was very excited about graduating, as I am the only one so far in my family who has done so.

Currently, I'm employed as the manager of San Francisco Gifts #71 in my local mall. In early 2009, I’m hoping to begin post-secondary and begin my career as a teacher. I hope to teach English or History, both of which I have a passion for.

I’m also really passionate about art, theatre, and literature. Culture, life in general, I think. I’m a very expressive individual. Whether it is through body modification and fashion, painting and drawing, writing poetry and playing music, I love to exercise my imagination. I love to read and to learn, and to discuss issues and gossip with other people.

I’m a big coffee drinker, and most people get that upon first meeting me because I’m either on my way to a coffee shop, leaving a coffee shop, or I’ve got a cup of coffee already with me. My caffeine indulgence is my guilty pleasure, and I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m addicted. My other addiction is music. I listen to almost anything and everything, but my favorite genre of the moment is heavy metal, or death metal. Currently I’m listening to a lot of Cannibal Corpse, Hypocrisy, and Bloodbath. Occasionally I’ll slip in some Rammstein or Deadsy. I have a lot of “favorite bands,” but way too many to list, or even remember. My philosophy is giving each band a chance, and that’s how I’ve discovered a lot of my music.

I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t have a lot of friends. I like to keep it that way. A lifetime of being cheated, betrayed and shit on has taught me to watch who I trust. As it turns out, there are a lot of people I’ve run into who I can’t trust. It’s quality over quantity, and those few who have stuck by me through thick and thin over the last couple of years, I adore more than life itself. My friends are my world, and I’d do anything for them. My friends are my heroes, particularly my best friends Sean and Vanessa, and my fiancé, David. Never have there been three people who have loved me so unconditionally, have been with me through so many hardships, and have seen past the lies and rumors. And for that, I owe them so much.

I’m not a big TV watcher. Usually a little bit every once and a while is all I can take. However, I love the A&E channel. I could watch that channel until my eyes melted. Cold Case Files? I’m totally there. I’m also a big watcher of crime dramas, such as Bones and Law & Order: SVU. I also love true crime documentaries. Call it a morbid interest, a macabre fascination. That allure also lends itself into my reading material. Fact or fiction, I love to read horror, crime stories and science fiction. My favorite authors at the moment are Kathy Reich, Rachel Vincent, Colleen Gleason, Kim Harrison, Jemiah Jefferson, Clive Barker, Dan Brown, Anne Rice, Christopher Rice, and JK Rowling.

Well… there’s a glimpse of who I am. Some hate me, some like me, and some even love me. I am proud of who I am, and that’s simply the end of it; I will not apologize for being me. If you’re crazy enough to want to know me, feel free to ask.
